Fellow Friends and Hunters

I am writing today to introduce you to Craig Pugh. Craig is running for the Delaware Senate 14th District. Most of you have meet Craig before at the Texas Ranch. He is our Property Manager and chief hunting guru.

Craig was born and raised in Kent County, Delaware along the shores of the Delaware Bay and the muddy banks of the Leipsic River. A lifelong resident of Leipsic Delaware. A graduate of Dover High School with Vocational training in the trade of welding. Craig then went on to a Commercial Diving Program at the Florida Institute of Technology. This blue collar background has inspired the development of numerous small business opportunities that he has built for the last forty years. These opportunities range from the creation and development of wildlife habitat and management areas to commercially working the waters of the Delaware Bay and its tributaries. Craig participates in Delaware's Commercial fishing, crabbing, and oyster industries, and has represented Delaware as a legislative proxy at the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission for six years.

Community leadership has always been a family tradition. Craig’s Grandfather Horace Pugh Sr. was a Charter Member of the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co. and held the office of Mayor, for the Town of Leipsic for nearly twenty years.  Craig's Father Horace Pugh Jr. has served the community as Chief of the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co. He also holds Chief Emeritus Status with the Smyrna Vol. Fire Co. for his long term dedicated community service.

Craig has answered this calling of family tradition to community service as First Asst. Chief of the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co. through the years of  ( 1982-1983 / 1987-1991 / 1995-1997). Craig has served again for the community as a Leipsic Town Councilperson at different points in time for eighteen years. Fifteen of which as the Mayor of Leipsic the community he finds so uniquely nestled in the center of the Delaware Estuary with its own diverse needs and challenges.

Other lifetime involvement include Lifetime Member of the NRA, Lifetime Member of Leipsic Vol. Fire Co., Lifetime Member of the RMEF. Member of Roby Methodist Church, Member of Ducks Unlimited.

Craig defines the 3 main issues of the race as Jobs, Small Business Growth, Education and our Estuaries. All really important topics in this day and age in Delaware.

I am writing to ask that you help support Craig and his campaign as he has supported Delaware his whole life. Maximum contributions are $600 as allowed by law. Anything you can give no matter how small will help all of us as Craig is the right person for this Senate Seat.

John Foltz Endorsement

From John Foltz

Craig Pugh for 14th State Senate

My first impression about Craig Pugh came from a friend of mine. I could tell my friend had respect for Craig and recommended I should meet him soon. Okay, so Craig and I got together and talked. Craig is different. I soon saw that Craig Pugh comes from a different cut of quality cloth.

Talking with Craig is like waterfowl hunting with friends, or golfing for that matter. The conversation may go into talking about any of life’s many facets--family, businesses, religion, non-profit organizations, environmental issues, and all forms of government be it good or bad. His straight forward conversation encourages you to express your thoughts. Your opinion matters, and there are no reprisals from Craig Pugh. He is a problem solver.

He explained to me what he faced as the new Mayor of Leipsic with a negative budget more than a decade ago. How he wanted town residences of both political sides to work out their differences together and bring the town to solvency. That is leadership with diplomacy.

Look at the website https://friendsofcraigpugh.com/about-craig and you will see the heart of a man. How can someone whose day starts before sunrise able to get things done in Legislative Hall? As the saying goes, get a busy person to get it done. When a problem needs solving Craig is short on chit chat, more show me the facts. I’m looking forward to the time when Craig Pugh is representing the people of Delaware, not just those who could vote for him in the 14th State Senate District. He recognizes that his actions affect everyone in Delaware.

It is to our benefit to support and vote for Craig Pugh as our next Senator for the State Senate.

Sincerely,

John Foltz

Recommendation from Bill D'Alonzo

Folks, some of you know Craig……and he’s a good man…..crabber, duck hunter, fisherman, waterman and a Republican.   Craig is all about what we’re all about and “one of us”…..and we most certainly need more Repubs in DE’s state government for God’s sake!!!    Craig would be a HUGE win for what we all stand for.   Urge each and everyone of you to support Craig.    If any of you would want to meet Craig we can certainly arrange that.   Thank you for your consideration.      Bill D'Alonzo
